Science Selective Vitamin C Care Supplements help promote a healthy immune system in guinea pigs, especially those prone to respiratory issues, urinary tract problems, vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), or generally weakened immune systems.

Whilst vitamin C is produced naturally by rabbits, and is therefore not generally recommended as a supplement, it can be administered for poorly rabbits with weakened immune systems, or in elderly rabbits if advised by your vet, always following the recommended doses.

For guinea pigs, feed as a supplement to complement your pet's regular diet. Offer 1-2 treats per day, and always have fresh water available.

What are Vitamin C Care Supplements made from?
These treats comprise wheat flour, timothy grass hay, ground dried locust beans, soya oil, ground dried peas, brown linseeds, dried cranberries (0.5%, equivalent to 4.5% cranberries), dried blackcurrants (0.5%, equivalent to 4.5% blackcurrants), concentrated paprika, concentrated carrot. Nutritional additives: vitamin C (12,500mg/kg).

Are these treats suitable for rabbits and guinea pigs?
They are most suitable for guinea pigs since they do not produce their own vitamin C. Rabbits and chinchillas do have this ability so it is less common that they will need additional supplements.
